Privacy Policy

Gweneth is made by Aisatsu LLC ("we", "us"). The short version: the app collects nothing. Your chats, prompts, images, voice recordings, and settings stay on your Mac, and we never see them. This policy explains the few places where data does move: downloading models, visiting this website, and buying a license.

The app

Gweneth runs its language and speech models on your Mac. It has no account, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no advertising, and it does not send your conversations anywhere.

Your content stays local. Chats, folders, prompts, scripts, attached images, and search data are stored in ~/Library/Application Support/Gweneth on your Mac. Chats in locked folders are also encrypted. You can erase all of it from Settings.
Voice stays local. Dictation is transcribed on your Mac by Whisper. Recordings are temporary files that are removed after transcription. Spoken replies use the voices built into macOS.
Model downloads. When you choose to download a model, Gweneth fetches it from Hugging Face. Like any download, that request reveals your IP address to Hugging Face and its network providers, under Hugging Face's privacy policy. Nothing about you or your chats is included.
License keys are checked offline. Gweneth verifies your key on your Mac. Activating does not contact us.

Outside of model downloads you start, Gweneth makes no network connections. It works with Wi-Fi turned off.

This website

gweneth.app uses no cookies, analytics, or trackers. It is served by Amazon CloudFront, and its fonts load from Google Fonts. As with any website, those providers receive your IP address and basic request details (such as your browser type) to deliver the page, under the AWS and Google privacy policies. We do not use this information to identify you.

Buying a license

Payments are handled by Stripe. You enter your card details on Stripe's checkout page; we never see or store your full card number. From Stripe we receive your email address, name, country, and purchase details, which we use only to show your license key after checkout, help you if you contact us (for example, to find a lost key), and handle refunds and tax and accounting obligations. We don't email you unless you write to us first.

We keep purchase records in Stripe for as long as we need them for those purposes and as the law requires. We don't sell your information, share it for advertising, or send marketing email.

Your choices and rights

Everything in the app is under your control on your Mac, and you can delete it at any time. For your purchase information, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete it by emailing hello@aisatsu.co. We'll respond within 30 days, keeping only what we're legally required to retain.

Children

Gweneth is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the effective date above. If a change affects how the app handles your data, we'll note it in the changelog.
